The Syracuse City School District has partnered with New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAAA), New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) and On Point for College to offer you free professional assistance with the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) applications. Financial aid administrators from local colleges will be on hand at the sites and dates listed below both in-person and virtually. All events will be held at the respective high school, but also have an online component. Families may connect online from the high school or from the comfort of your own home. Students are encouraged to bring earphones or a headset to the event in case their FAFSA volunteer is remote.

Students and parents are encouraged to do the following prior to their appointment:

• Obtain an FSA ID for the student at https://fsaid@ed.gov
• Obtain an FSA ID for one parent at https://fsaid@ed.gov
• Gather the documents needed to complete your FAFSA and TAP applications
