Sonja is the Higher Education and Communications Specialist at Say Yes to Education National. She works on collaborative efforts to manage and grow the roster of colleges and universities that provide financial aid to students in the organization’s districts and schools. She also supports Say Yes’s efforts to communicate the power of its work to a variety of audiences. Sonja shares Say Yes’s values and its mission of providing assistance to disadvantaged young people in particular. She has served as a foster care youth mentor and currently volunteers as a Children, Youth & Young Adult leader at her church in Mount Vernon, NY.

Prior to joining Say Yes, she worked as a marketing consultant at the College Board. She also worked as Marketing Coordinator at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets association for nine years. She is an alumna of the College of New Rochelle, where she earned a BA in Liberal Arts and a MS in Communications/Marketing.
