Say Yes Student Spotlight: Chidi Okereke

Where did you go to high school, and when did you graduate?
Nottingham High School, 2021 Alumni

What college are you going to & what is your major(s)/minor(s)?
Onondaga Community College (OCC)
First year – Chemistry
Second year – Computer Science

What do you like most about college?
The interaction and freedom that is offered to the students is on par with reality (general society).

What are your goals after college?
I have some diverse goals/hobbies. In the future, I’d like to study quantum, produce music, and work on my drawing.

How did you learn about Say Yes to Education Syracuse?
I learned about Say Yes to Education around sixth/seventh grade in Middle School. I was given the opportunity to join the Junior Frontiers of the Mohawk Valley and met with Ahmeed Turner during a presentation made for our meetings.

What does Say Yes mean to you?
To start, Say Yes offers students, minorities, and the misfortunate the financial endorsement and opportunity to make a change in their life.

What advice would you give high school students considering seeking a college degree through Say Yes?
When going to college, you need to think about why you are even there to begin with. Whether you are at a school to party and have fun, obtain your education through grasping information, attempting to find reliability, or feel a sense of achievement. You, as an individual paying to be on that campus, should try to consider what you are about to use that money for.

Anything else you want to add? (Fun facts, etc.)
Once we decipher the concept of the dichotomy between space and time in general relativity, we would be able to fundamentally control matter and mass. This is hypothetical and theoretical but could possibly be simulated using the software. Examining quanta of energy is hard when all the particles you want to observe decay in an instant.
