Say Yes Syracuse to Make Exception for the Class of 2021

Say Yes Syracuse to Make Exception for the Class of 2021

Due to the unique nature of the 2020-2021 academic school year, and considering the mandatory virtual learning that took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, Say Yes Syracuse will be making an exception for the high school graduating class of 2021 to complete the Say Yes Syracuse application and remain eligible for the Say Yes Syracuse tuition guarantee.

Students in the graduating class of 2021 shall be rendered and remain eligible for 1 year/2 semesters at a 2 year college, and 2 years/4 semesters at a 4 year college, beginning immediately Spring 2023. Students will have until February 15, 2023 to complete the Say Yes Syracuse application. Completion of the application after the February deadline will not be accepted.

This exception will not apply to any students in graduating classes prior to the class of 2021, or students in the graduating class of 2022 that have missed the Say Yes Syracuse application deadline.

All other Say Yes Syracuse deadlines including:

• Financial Aid completion (FAFSA and TAP)
• Transfer deadlines
• Withdrawal deadlines
• Gap year deadlines

shall be upheld and executed accordingly.

Understandably, each of the Say Yes private partner colleges maintains its discretion on honoring the Say Yes Syracuse eligibility exception for the high School graduating class of 2021.

Students and families with questions should contact Ahmeed Turner, or Dana Lyons-Canty in the Say Yes Syracuse office at the Central NY Community Foundation. Email is preferred.
